SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15th

BIG BEAR CA.

In the last days the couple looks like preparing the nest seriously

2-3 days ago I saw a fish eaten on the nest. Yesterday, they brought much fresh "hay"; not similar to european...

They are kissing and working around.

10:20 this morning they started to "try" the nest :D they are sitting on the hay and were around during the morning.

Looks like we'll have eggs for christmas

Let's hope not. Early eggs means a high probability of death for the chicks. Finger crossed for late egg laying.

16:53 She came again, sitting on nothing...

16:54 the cams turn to night mode.

16:57 He came too; both are checking the hay...

Now he is testing the "bed"

17:02 Both left for the night.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17th

BIG BEAR CA.

09:54 A morning visit by both - working and testing as usual.

16:47 She arrived and was lying down in the nest bowl
It's a real wonder to watch her arriving daily exactly at the end of daylight; when cam is turning automatically to night mode

16:52 She flew away. Another day of preparations is over.
