Now, there are two bobbleheads and an egg. Great parents, Dad is often present on the nest. Earlier I saw a tandem feeding. Nice to watch this family.

:hi: Liz,
haha, i heard it too in the dark, it seems to be a night-worker

At dawn Mr North came to parents' branch, joining DNF. He dropped down to nest, wanted to take over, did everything to get her off, but DNF didn't let him, she wanted to stay with the hatching chick :D

here, DNF got up, i think it is partly out, a half eggshell moves, yes, DNF touches it with her beak
Image

yeaah, DN13 is waving with a winglet out of the very deep bowl  :bounce:
Image

EDIT: Liz, just saw your latest post when i finished mine and clicked on 'submit'.

at Sauces Channel Islands

Audicity and Jak have also an "only chick" this season, hatched on March 15th.
The first two eggs broke like all the eggs the season before. I'm so happy for them to raise at least one eaglet this season. The little one gets plenty to eat, even the afterbirth of the seals, and it is quite strong

06.34 early morning, the little chick alone in nest - just for a moment 8-)
Image

The little "Sassy" is very curious and crawled already out of the bowl, why Jak brought in a huge load of fluff to build up the bowl edges

Mr North had to persuade DNF a little this morning until she got up and let him take over.
She flew off and Mr North eagerly wiggled in :innocent:

Mr North gets up and flies off, DNF kills the fish
little one lifts its head out of the bowl, looking around: next feeding ?
Image

DNF dragged the fish to the other side and feeds DN13
