What a treat! Jono is on the nest for night!
He flew at 18:43 with huge crop. Looks splendidly.

Thulane and Emoyeni often visit the nest, they sleep on the cliff close by or rest on the palm tree.

Black Eagle Project Roodekrans is planning to install the new HD webcamera on Monday, depending on the weather. Ernest Porter will take a few photos of the process to post on the Facebook page.

Camera was placed higher, so we can watch the nest from above. But there is no sound.

Today I watched climbers instead of eagles. They moved the camera, connected cables etc. and did a lot of work.

The site has announced that the new HD cams have been installed and are working (not at the moment, it seems) and the breeding season 2015 has begun. I will close this topic which went with us through two years and start a new one for the new season! We have seen two beautiful Black Eagles grow up and have been able to follow them until they left their parent's territory. My thanks to everyone who contributed to this topic here, I hope to meet you again in the new one.
