12.06 this view was most often seen throughout the day,
as Harriet slightly spreads her wings to cover her eaglets as well as possible
Image

13.27 H standing over them, giving them shelter from the rain and storm
Image

14.47 H feeding again some nestover to the eaglets

16.48 twice a little bit aggression from E12, it was more a threatening with the beak, ...
Image

.... because E13 was faster than E12 in snatching the bites (already good developed skill)
and H watch it
Image

16.52 M stops feeding and H moves to take over the feeding, M leaves the nest

17.01 H offers the big fishtail to E12, E12 drops it, H takes it back,
E13 picks it up, but it's too big, H takes it back, offers it again to E12, E12 drops it again
and H finally ate it
Image

17.03 feeding finished, H to the other side, found another nestover, wanted to eat it....
Image

17.04 ....but gave it to E12 - good loving Mom :innocent:

About persnickety with words, the word "bonking" is used also on the American South West Florida Eagle Cam forum site, I suppose most of us have found that word just from there:

https://forum.hancockwildlife.org/searc ... ds=bonking

But of course, our censorship here rules ... :rotf:

Indeed, Owlie, the Americans use this word usual for description from sibling rivalry. For them it is normal.

TY, balistar for reporting about the rainy day yesterday. H& M15 are good parents for sure.

:hi: all together,

after the exhausting "muscle-work" of the early morning, both layed down to rest.

8.37 M brought the "breakfish" (another special made-up word ?)
and was feeding both, started with E13 - no aggression of E12 - E13 got a bit more
Image

8.40 E12 didn't like to wait and watch and grabbed the fish out of M's feet
Image

8.41 M took it back and fed both equal

8.44 E12 grabbed the remaining fishtail part by him/herself and tried a few times to eat it. But it was across in the beak and E12 couldn't get it in the right way to swallow it down and then spit it out

9.26 E13 picks at the fishhead (watch where the fish is laying)
Image

picks and pulls
Image

and E13 picks it up with his beak and tears it
