JUNE 1st
19:55 Again... the bunny doll is still big enough and kids are playing with it and one of them (15?) even tried to feed the other...
And beaking and kissing
During the day they were standing many hours on the rails and 15 on the veranda

They were both on the rails. 16 is climbing a little higher.
Sometimes, they look both males; but since 16 is still smaller, perhaps he is the male and the bigger 15 is a female? but it's not very round...

If E15 was a female, she would be much more aggressive.

It was raining most of the day; kids looked like wet cats
They were standing on the rails, practicing winging and jumps.
They were digging for food, there no diner and less food today. So lucky to have the Bunny Toy
Seems like kids are alone tonight; parents were seen on the dead tree at 20:10 .

WOW ! Nice performance 15
He jumped across half nest, opened his giant wing, and from far he flew to the veranda, there some good jumps with winging. Bravo kid!!
He was very happy
It was after both shared a large fish... I meant: 15 ate most of the fish and 16 had the main bone with a little fish

Rita,
They are not hungry at all, in this nest a little less is very much food. It was a rainy day and parents skipped on one diner.
If they needed more food - they would call. I watch them for years, there was never shortage in this nest.
Early this morning they had a nice fish; at this time they usually eat less than a month ago.
Those are bad days for the world and specially for the US. So this poor doll brings a little joy to them and to us.

Abigyl: I get your point. Understood.
But I still doubt this :
But I still doubt this :
For the birds it is probably a filthy and worn rag. And for me as well.So this poor doll brings a little joy to them and to us.

It's another rainy day
Kids are lying in the center like wet rugs; let's hope that the new feathers will protect them well

We have this doll with us since the baby came to the world; their daddy brought it as a first gift.
he tried to feed them from it an understood it's not a prey One of the funniest moment ever!
Since it's their toy in different occasions.
There are some people who watch the nest and follow the very sad events and enjoy the cute moments.
I am a very serious person in real life, but I must have some little moments of humor and around me it haven't killed anyone yet...
I was writing in another forum and left the group when I felt like it's not a nice place, because of too many rules. I cannot stay in such a place.
Watching the nests is my special corner in the last 10 years: I'm learning a lot, "meeting" great people in the virtual world, it allows me to take some time off from real life which is hard enough, so I can promise you that I'll always mention the funny moments and the sad ones.

Abigyl, thank you for all your reports!
But who knows..
I also think that they did entertain themselves by that squirrel toy quite a bit. While growing up, they are exploring everything in their surroundings - often picking up a stick, a leave, playing with it. It was obvious that for the eaglets also a simple stick or a feather seemed at times very interesting and worth to explore for quite a long time.
They both certainly grabbed that squirrel quite a few times. They seemed attracted by it enough to explore it, seize it, carry it around, tear it apart and then see what happens
My guess, too, is that it is like you wrote. It seemed that E15 was aggressive enough during the first months, and she was always quite considerably larger than E16; especially at the first time that difference was well visible.

Still to go back in the events a bit..
02.06.
There was such an nice video about both parents visiting and feeding the eaglets.
Especially E16 stood out - his ability to snatch the food fast as a lightening is truly impressive!
/video: Lady Hawk/
https://youtu.be/5Tyu5MKWe8Y
07:40
E16 kept spinning around, grabbing morsels from left and right
.. from M15
.. and from Harriet
07:41
Also E16 snatched a few bites, but was slower
E16's voracious "attacks" on the parent's beaks eventually seemed to scare Harriet away and she left them the fish, and jumped away to safety
M15 was more patient; he took also the second fish and fed it to both small "devils".

Sunshine ! Thanks for all the pics.
It's amazing to watch the large open wings of the little one. Sometimes he looks so small, where are the wings hiding??
