It is so rainy here, that I spend a lot of time at the laptop and the cams. I love to follow the E's at the pond, their favourite place. :D The dipping horses are amusing, too.
:hi:
Owlie, it is often quite rainy at Harriet's/M15's place, too :D

I was a little occupied with some Griffons and the Australian new babies :bounce: :bounce:
:hi:
Abigyl, great to see you! :D Yes, the Sydney white-bellied sea eagle cam is also very nice, indeed. I used to follow them some other seasons too. Wish all the best luck for both lovely hatchlings this year and, most of all, lot's of food!

Time is fast approaching, when both eaglets will leave the nest area and start a life on their own.
Yesterday one of the (most possibly) last times was captured on cam of the entire family together!

On the same day a powerful brawl broke out between both Es

/screenshots from the video of Lady Hawk/

Description by the SWFL Eagle Cam: "E16 is on the veranda branch and is tracking something overhead and goes further out on the limb. E15 comes to the nest and then heads up to the veranda and a scuffle takes place. E16 lunges towards E15 as they both try to keep their balance on the branch. E15 wants the branch for herself and pushes E16 who falls into the pine needles and then flies off to the front pine! Seems like these scuffles are becoming common place now between the E's"

E16 is pushed down the tree as a result of the clash..

Image

The mods write, the average age to leave the nest is 128 days in this nest. Both eaglets are very close to this age, and also the brawl signalises that the time to leave is very close. They will both also certainly be able to defend themselves!
