still eating at 14:28
16:14 the sick raccoon dogs are still eating there...
at 16:03 a third animal walked along the back side of Long Island. it looked like the sick fox. it stopped where there's a shallow point, some sort of a pit, and is now digging there laying low.
at 16:16 it seems that now the other RD has left. the other has two ravens as company.
ame wrote:16:18 fox seemed to attack on the RD! at least it wanted to chase the RD away from its skin.
the fox ran straight towards the RD but it had almost as much impact on the RD as if the fox had ran agaist a wall. the fox then settled on the other skin and the RD continued eating its own.
the fox ate boar skin for quite some time. it made itself comfortable: it was lying on the skin.
then finally it got a piece ripped off and carried it to the forest. i think the piece may have been the foot with the hoof.
17:00 now both racoon dogs are there

17:36 the fox returned! it's trying to pull off the next piece of something.

ame wrote:21:13 the other had gone to the side of Long Island. there's a dark spot near the first trees. the other is still eating skins.
4:20 Moon had moved so that the meadow was in shadow and only the treetops in the back were in light.

ame wrote:the sick raccoon dogs have come to eat this morning. at about half past 10am both were here and later at about noon one RD. poor animals, they look so sad.
after 12 a group of ravens came to eat.
13:00 raccoon dogs came back and now ravens are a bit puzzled about what to do.

the Moon is rather low still. shadows are very long.
1:23 the Moon had risen and was shining from South.

9.26 eagle call ... - s-he is close
The calls on the video do sound like eagles but probably they were not. Opinions are welcome!ame wrote:i don't think they have been eagle calls... i think there have been black woodpeckers calling here. in the early morning i first mistook those calls coming from Linda's but it was from here. there were two of them actually and it sounded like a territory dispute. the voices were rather weird. they made me think of some multicoloured South-American parrots.
it's a shame i didn't understand that the voices were coming from here this morning so i made no recordings. the two-bird-song sounded really interesting.
the bird was calling here for a long time....
