Good Morning :hi:

sova, Solo :D

we have to be patient. :whistling:
Heavy snowfall in the Balkan countries :slap:

Heavy snow spotted across Eastern Europe and the Balkans
This past week has seen a very cold plume of air take hold across Central and Eastern Europe, with widespread snowfall across the Balkan countries. We take a look and share some snowy scenes.

There were multiple days of heavy snow across the Balkan Peninsula. Parts of Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovenia saw 10-20cm of snow over quite widespread areas, though more than this was recorded over high elevations, particularly in mountainous areas. The below footage shows heavy snowfall spotted in Sofia, Bulgaria.

and it continues. It will be better soon.

20:31 it's getting dark. The nest is empty.

Mare and other news
Elsewhere the birds come back and many of the nests tested assess the amount of .... (for a long time) and it looks like everything is fine for now. The forests are pretty dry and this could be another bad year. While driving through Selija and South Kurzeme for a few days, I only saw four frogs ...

At the time of writing, Mare may already be in her nest if she flies to the same location as last year. Yesterday's last coordinate was less than a hundred kilometers from last year's nest.
