I think it was the squirrel all time.
It's not the first time I've seen them react in that way to a squirrel. Could it be that they "mix up" it with a marten?
They also do not distinguish whether it is a dangerous bird of prey such as a hawk or a white tailed eagle. They also respond to buzzard, honey buzzard, and so on. And these are not a threat to them
