The migration map is really very important as it brings a lot of knowledge and conclusions to ornithologists. Last year I also followed the peculiarities of Estonian's storks migration. And a map of all migratory birds as well. We can see lots of stamina and danger on their roads.

Also was interesting to see MaxPlanckSociety video how storks gliding strategy is monitored and explored through GPS data visualization with highlighting while thermalling.

All vids about white storks by Max Planck Society are very interesting (and also all the others videos).
Black storks are a different species and it is not right to compare them, they are very specific (e.g. they use more often active flying - wing-flapping and they are flying also long distance above open water). Oriental storks (Ciconia boyciana) are closely related to and resembles the European white storks.
