I know that, add also two Raivo's chicks in 2010 that didn't survive but Tonn did and we followed him five years while his transmitter worked.
Tonn is GSE not Black Stork.

13:32 Ozols is still preening. Is it his last visit in the nest :puzzled:

If the storklets started their migration Ozols will clean the nest and move the sticks.

Silly question from me: Why do the storks do that?

I saw WS which took back the nest for a while, after chicks fledged.

At the time it looked to me as if they need to rest for awhile without any duties or without dealing with the outer world.

It's also a kind of closure for them after such a long and intensive season.

Today, weather is nicer and perhaps they went "fishing" with their mom...

@Janne+Ais
They clean the nest and place the sticks on the nestrim most probably to show that permanent inhabitants are settled here and that they will return next season. Let's hope that this will become true.

when I wrote this morning, that the storklets flew away, I thought, that
they search of food

Now it seems as they no longer come back

I wish Ziluks and Ziluka bon voyage. Especially that they survive the first year.

The parents fly off a little later :unsure:

Thank you for your explanation! :wave: I ask myself, whether this is constructive at all. The winter anyway will clean and change the nest, won't it? :puzzled:

Thank you, Macko! It is beautiful to see, that they fly together. The siblings hanging very at each other.
Edit: the cam says also "Good bye" to us. :blush:
