At the moment there is still no public pontu video and picture archive - but it will probably and hopefully change soon, as there is now stork activity on the nest

20:40 The tawny owl is back.
20:55 The stork can be heard again (movements and voices). And so is the owl who is apparently approaching.
21:03 The stork gave a warning (I think) and the owl moved a bit farther.
21:09 Another tawny owl is joining in. It can be heard that the stork gets upset.

It is an interesting soundtrack but I´m feeling sorry for the birds being so upset...

Me too, Trine, for both species.

The female Tawny Owl sounds very agitated. She is sometimes closer, sometimes farther away. Poor thing.

Most likely is it so. The time window is suitable.

21:50 The female Tawny Owl is still calling, nonstop about now more than 1 1/2 hours.
It would be very sad if she has to give up her clutch.

Birdfriend, I'm sorry, I have to correct the time. I came in confusion with nest time and my time at home. The trouble began at about 19:15 nest time. This is almost 3 hours ago. :-(

22:09 Suddenly a loud beak clacking of the stork!

22:10 Again ...

Rustling of feathers, loud breathing, sighing of the stork. There's no peace.

Beside of all circumstances in the evening I want to say thank you, Liz, for the videos of the Storks arrival! :2thumbsup:
It is wonderful to see the first Black Stork back at home and his first activities. It is amazing to see that he loses no time to restore the nest. :D

I imploringly hope, the situation with the Tawny Owl become calm. At the moment it seems that she has stopped her calling.
