Good evening, Liz and Solo!

I took the same pics from the last feeding as you, Liz. :slap:
Maybe the fourth youngster is already on his way...

19:38 They snatch the food remains.

Will they come tomorrow again to their home...?

Edit: TY Liz for this interesting morning video! :2thumbsup:

Good evening, all together,

thank you very much, Liz, for all the informations, pictures and videos!
It's very interesting, to hear the sounds of the two storklets in the morning (your video from 08:27), - astonishing and very special.

Yes, feeding seems to be not easy now, as one could see in the video with the slipped storklet. But I guess, it's not a big problem for a Black Stork. They live in trees and there are probably often situations with slippery branches, so I guess they can handle with it.
Only two feedings today, if I’ve read right? Probably every day could be the last that we see the storklets at nest.
I also would like to know what’s about the fourth storklet. Maybe it has found another group of young storklets? Is it going with them to explore the world? :D

Birdfriend, thank you for your kind words!

August 10

Good Morning Birdfriend, Michi, Solo and all :hi:

Birdfriend, thank you for the pictures :2thumbsup:

Michi, there were only two deliveries.
You could be right. The time at the nest is probably over soon, maybe yesterday was the last day?
Interesting for me is, that there are still both parents here. Male and female, the same as at the Hungarian nest.

So it was a coincidence with Ozol and Zile, as well as with Kati and Karl, that the male was last seen.
Could be that Kati is still in the area and is recovering from the breed stress and eating enough for her long journey. But that's speculation, as well as our assumption that she's already on her way south.

6:32 The nest is still empty. I'm curious what the day will bring.

:hi: Liz, Birdfriend and Michi,
last time in Gemenc were only 2 feeding per day.
Very probably it is the last day with our storks here in Sigulda. We will see :headroll:

Yes, I'm happy

9:40 It is still alone at home. It's preening itself and resting in the safe nest. It is without the bright spot over the bill.
