8:18 Gaja? has arrived home. No, it is Kaupo.
They have begged, but not intense enough? :puzzled: I takes a minute, before they have started.
I see, there was a feeding by Kaupo. He has eating back. They are still not hungry.

GT
Decision on this year's webcam nest.
.....this nest will not be ringed this year. There are two reasons - I still have not received the rings and I'm already need it of other nests and, above all, the hysteria caused by incompetence by the bad effect of ringing does not undermine
the positive publicity of DD webcams (not thinking specifically about a storks and without thinking about what someone thinks about me) even theoretically. This nest is not risk-free to minimize risk, it should have been ringing already a week ago and, for technical (access) reasons, it should only be done by tapping off live. No matter how professional my assistants climb to the nests, I can not exclude the risk (and it increases with each passing day) and, of course, if after the live streaming of the rest of the nest there were 3 storklet with rings, the hysteria would be indescribable. ............
Māris Strazds

So, no rings for the storklet. I understand the reasons very well.

Digestion of the chicks is very good. They must have eaten half a ton yesterday :rotf:

11:42 someone startled them. It must have been some kind of bird of prey. They clattering with their bill and are growling .

Good evening together,

20:14 Kaupo was here and has fed his babies.

The storklets chirped and begged for food. All tried to grab Kaupos beak. But Kaupo was totally patient. :D
Image

It was a big tohuwabohu. I couldn't see anything. It was probably not much food, because it was eaten within 10 - 15 seconds.
Image

20:15:34 Kaupo left.
Image

Liz, you're welcome :). Thanks to you for todays reports, pics and videos! :2thumbsup:
I hope, it was not a goshawk which has startled the storklets today!
The pics from the Karula nest are shocking enough.
