Gaja was the last time here on 31.03.2019. she may have found a new mate- and another nest. (same with Kati- but the same nest  )
I am very happy that Kaupo has finally arrived safe and sound.
But, yes, where is Gaja now !?

The nest still needs a thorough restoration.

12:16 There's a BS : loveshower:
Thank you for the wonderful news, Abigyl!
And it seems it's Kaupo. :loveshower:
Welcome back, dear!
What a relief that he has managed the migration. :headroll:

Thank you very much, Solo and Liz, for reporting, for pictures and the video!

Today 19:34:58 Kaupo returned to the nest. It had snowed a bit, but not much.

19:40 Kaupo was resting on one leg ...

... when the strong wind forces him to use his second leg. For a second he struggled.

20:03 He has a bit snow on his back.

The wind is really strong and it's probably difficult to find foothold on the remains of the nest.

20:23 Night is coming. Kaupo is resting since he came at 19:34.

I'm curious if Kaupo will meet Gaja. Will he search for her? Both were such good parents last year.
I hope, Kaupo soon will start rebuilding the nest. I take the fact that he is spending the second night in the nest as a good sign of this intention.

Good night everyone!

9:45 Kaupo is still at the nest tree. The snow melts.

9:55 He is preening now

he looks around ... is still waiting for Gaja
It seems to me that he has no motivation to restore the nest. He is waiting for Gaja. Maybe he is very young and can not build this kind of nest? :puzzled:
