Lesser Spotted Eagles, Latvijas Dabas fonds ligzda bērzā - LDF tiešraide 2020-2022
Lesser Spotted Eagle (Clanga pomarina) nest in Zemgalē, Latvia
The eagle nest in Zemgalē is known since July 2017. It is built on birch at a height of about 20 meters. Judging by the nest material, the nest is at least five years old (the lower parts are already partially broken). The online camera system is at this location since spring 2018.
A pair of LSE stayed in the nest, but did not breed.
Jānis Ķuze and Jānis Rudzītis placed the camera system at this nest, and Valdis Lukyanovs and Ģirts Strazdiņš also help to maintain it.

Male brought a prey. Then he flew off. Female took it and flew away too. A greater spotted woodpecker
pecked a hole in the egg. Male came in too late. Female came a few minutes later. I think that was it?!

It's a shame that the second egg from the other Latvian LSE nest can't be placed here(such an experiment completely failed in 2011).

should your post rather belong to the Anna and Andris topic? or is this another nest?
