I learned something today. It's normal that they do it after the season. At another Latvian nest there was a couple two days ago and did something similar things.

I don't know. So far we only observed that a pine branch was brought to the nest to say goodbye

And as far as we can see, there is no such thing as a lifelong bond. They choose the partner who arrives at the nest first? Does the partner of the previous year come later there is a fight and the winner takes over the nest?
Ugis Bergmanis is the best source for knowledge about these eagles. He has been studying them for many years.

that was nest preparing  .. digging in the nest bowl. That's why I wrote she was going to lay an egg. For me it was very unusual to watch. But great!!

The LSEs use to decorate nest before leaving to the migration - for to return next spring with more serious plans...
I think we need to find other storknest to install the camera! Actually that is not very easy, as several suitable aspects should be followed.

Hello everyone! :hi:

looks like that our eagle family is gone.

13:37:31 juvenile LSE is calling short

Ugis Bergmaņis confirmed, that it was 100% a LSE  There were doubts. But it was clear to me. I heard these voices for a whole summer.

September 15

good morning :hi:

6:51:19 LSE is calling pretty near. To me it sounds like Anna :innocent: :innocent:

the nest (could be she will come home)
Image

The fact is, LSE would not call when he were alone there. So there is another one nearby.

I can see, if a LSE or another bird is calling near. There were no more calls before or after
Image

OK it sound more Andris calling for Perle with a mouse in his beak. It' a a guess

pascale, thank you very much for the pictures :loveshower: :2thumbsup:
Andris is very handsome.. so without Perle and totally relaxed :innocent:

great surprise..
the third farewell . The youtubers will think that I'm crazy and have no idea about LSE. Every day a farewell to Andris's nest :rotf: I will do videos tomorrow. No goodbyes this time .. only videos,

The Estonian LSE can now all be seen in Birdmap. Maybe this time it was the last time?
