A member of my FB page put that pic of Andris bringing a huge spruce branch to celebrate Pērle hatch.

Lovely post Pascale, that captures the phenomenon that unfolds - a mere 60 days to hatch and fledge an eagle.

22:00:00 darkness falls on a barren nest, this season's success somewhere else for the night.

Best we can hope for in days hence is sight of Perle flying in to the nest to commandeer her precious - a mouse or two, or three, or f..........

Good Morning

Perle was already in the nest in the early morning. You can see her at dawn. So she went to the nest at night.

5:05 she lifted her head with closed eyes. Cranes are singing


5:21 First prey is brought by Anna

5:42 she cast a pellet
5:47 she is still eating the mouse

Then she jumped and is calling


5:53 she flew to the left branch and is doing strong wing exercises
