Now she's even further away. I think she will hear and see the parents coming with food and then return, or in the evening to sleep in the nest.

Fleur, wonderful!!! You captured the moment. Thanks ever so much! Cam is disconnected right now, just now that is so nice to watch if and when she returns to the nest. :cry:

Thank you Jopie, you were right. It was very exciting.

LOL! I ran down to the computer as soon as I arose this morning & :bash: cam is not working!! :shock: But kind Fleur posted video of Guste coming off branch & back on again before the cam went down. Thank you!! :headroll:

In Latvian forum I found information that in Madona district was strong thunderstorm in middle of the day. Now it' s hard to say when cam will work again.

I was going to bed, but first wanted to check on Guste. Poor thing, it is raining & she looks quite wet & bedraggled! I wish there were more shelter over top of her. But I guess it is nature, & she will be OK. Now I hear thunder. Oh, she really does look wet. :cry:

It looks like there is a very serious rain falling -- the kind that gets you wet!
Somehow it seems it would be better with a sibling in the nest.

I think the rain let up or maybe stopped but that leaf was managing to hide poor Guste.

And she found a surprise; must have been brought by one of the parents. I missed that. It is a weasel or in any case something marterlike.

Edit: looking back at the pictures, it was already there at 12 o'clock, but then she left without eating it.
