I agree. It is a relief that it is finally over. The poor little chick is not suffering anymore. Now we can enjoy the nestlife of beautiful Miks and his/her parents without worries..

It is getting dark. Little Miks is crawling in and out under Metra, s/he is very quick in her/his movements...and so cute

11:21 - A meal in the wind. Miks is eating larger pieces now:

18:12 - Metra is standing in the nest, and she is eating. It is a very windy meal again:



She also offers food to Miks, but I can`t see if he is eating it. Maybe he has eaten, and is full:

18:17 - Macho is delivering something. First I thought it was a mammal, but when I look at the picture I am not quite sure. Can it be a bird?


18:24 - Metra is covering Miks again. Better be careful with little children in this wind

20:13 - 20:14, Metra left the nest:

Miks is home alone, we can hear Metra calling all the time:

20:15, Metra is returning with a spruce twig:

- 20:22, the afternoon sun is shining beautifully in the nest, it is still wind and Metra is covering Miks.
