July 13

When I opened the cam at 07:40 an eagle was working on the nest. Adding a lot of branches.
There were already new branches on the nest so she was already building for some time.

Goodmorning!
I am lucky too! He was there when I opened the cam at 7:50.
You can hear him snapping off the branches when he is out. Seems he is filling the hole or indent in the nest.

9:32 Still there, sitting quietly on the branch.
So it is the female. Pity I have to go now. But she has been there very long, maybe two hours now.

She(?) left at 09:47. From 09:51-55 calls not very far away. No eagle seen or heard since.

The current state of the nest. (Compare with viewtopic.php?p=486299#p486299 )

12:28 - 30 Eagle calls not far away. Later moving away.

Icterine Warbler searching for feathers. They have their nest somewhere to the right.

Around 13:03 alarming Nuthatch, tits and Chaffinch and a passing Sparrowhawk(?).

For half an hour a lot of birds on and around the nest. All juveniles

Pied flycatcher and one of at least six Blue tits.
Image

Hovering Chiffchaff(?). Behind it a Blue tit on the nest
Image

One of at least three Goldcrests
Image

There were also Great tits and a Marsh/Willow tit. Earlier also Coal tits, but just out of sight.

For watching songbirds this cam is better than number 2, but there the quality of the sound was better.
