May 9

There was already a lot of calling in the distance when at 07:55 the male(?) landed in a tree nearby, constantly calling. At 08:05 the female(?) arrived from nowhere on the nest. 08:07 she flew towards him and returned soon with building material to the nest. At that moment he left and stopped calling. She left the nest at 08:11.

His calls from the distance appeared very much louder than hers from the nest, while of course they were not.

10:10 - 10:12 She is again on the nest .
10:15 she is back with nesting material. He is calling in the background. 10:16 gone.

Why are they building on this nest? Was the new nest no success?

someone (i think it was Ugis Bergmanis, but i don't remember exact) wrote elsewhere the other nest was a bit "unstable". Perhaps it crashed.

edit - i found his post: https://dabasdati.lv/forums/viewtopic.p ... 64#p128100

Thank you, Biker. I remember now.
But Ugis thought that they would return next year to the old nest after collapse of the new one. It seems that their urge is large enough to do some work already this season.
We have seen last year that they can be very persistent, bringing fresh material to the nest until the end of July or maybe even later.

Between interruptions of the stream, calling eagles far away all day long.

Despite the snow the Blackbird sings as usual.

Is the transmission stopped or is it a defect?

The camera (link) has vanished from the project page and also from the German partner site, which shares the transmission. No other news available.
