The camera by placed by Janis Ķuze and Janis Rudzītis with the support of Valdis Lukjanovs!

The nest place is located in the region of Zemgalē (English: Semigallia) in southern Latvia, the green part of the map.

The second Lesser Spotted Eagle Nest in Zemgalē is known since 2017 when one young bird was found. It is built on a birch, in about 20 meters above the ground. Judging from the nest material, the nest is at least five years old (the lower parts are already partially split).

I was lucky and switched on the cam shortly before a LSE came for a short moment to the nest and called and flew off again.

20:22 Eagle came with a little branch, calling. Did some nest work, started to make a nest bowl. He lay down for a bit. Flew away at 20:25.

It was the lady of the nest, her husband had brought a mouse or something for her
