I think V28 left with the mothers; They leave when kids are able to fly with dad.
It not too early?
From Estonia osprey of mother depart at the end of August. In Latvia for certain still later, them to Africa to fly closer.
Or birds without children fly away earlier? Somebody knows?

15:50 Teo dropped down and moved a branch.

He was watching the area, thinking about the 8,000 KM he has to fly to his African home :innocent:

Weather is an important factor when we deal with migration.

It depends when kids can fly and learn how to get food. Previous years it was about this time and dads will leave a month later, with the last kid.
Kids are not going together, usually it's one after the other.

We didn't have young girls before, so it's a first for us. There were only tired mothers in EST & LAT.

It is the interesting moment. The moment of flying away depends not only on length of light day but also on existence of duties. Unexpectedly. :puzzled:
Whether Teo before usual will depart? Let's look.
