8:16 a little bird under the nest on the right, talked. then on the nest. a pied flycatcher.
to the left branch. to the top.

8:22 a little brownish grey bird. and another! pied flycatchers? the second look a lot like an ordinary house sparrow, but it can't be... :puzzled: the plumage looked spotty and a bit shaggy. maybe it was a young bird.

this flycatcher caught a fly!

the little birds.

8:31 a wood pigeon on the top branch.
a pied flycatcher on a lower branch.
8:32 a wood pigeon flew to the top of our tree and the wood pigeon on the branch flew to the spruce on the right. the other wood pigeon flew there after the first who flew away. also the second pigeon flew away when he saw a big bird flying over the meadow... :whistling:

Mr L preened...

then more nest work with a big stick. one big stick was difficult.
8:36:07 Mr L made a little squeak when he lifted the stick.

8:40 he jumped to the left branch. some white feathers blew out from his plumage.
btw: the woodpecker didn't do very good cleaning with his tongue earlier this morning. his tongue is not wide enough. we need flying cows. :whistling:

thank you Sonchik!
there were four birds altogether.
21:53 crows called. then there was a break in my stream between 21:53:34 and 21:53:49. (again! the new internet link is not good either  ) during this time on bird had landed on the highest tip of the spruce on the right.
21:54:22 the second bird flew to the top. it was light but think all were crows, probably.
21:55:01 the third bird flew to the top. then i had a break in the stream again.
21:55:14 the stream continued and yet another bird had arrived.

21:59:12 one bird took off and 2 s later another. they didn't fly like pigeons in an undulating path.

22:01:32 a third bird took off and 4 s later the fourth bird flew away.

Aug 6

good morning!

someone was walking in the forest in the dark but made no voices (i didn't spot any). there were only sounds of breaking branches.

someone else (probably 8-) ) was making rustling under the nest but also gave no clues of his/her identity.
4:14 a sample of these sounds. also a female tawny owl called.

6:16 he flew away. another pigeon flew by from right to left.

6:17 a little bird, a chaffinch maybe. a nuthatch was talking nearby.

6:18 another little bird to the tip of the right branch. a pied flycatcher? she was twitching her wing like that. she flew down to the nest and another bird to the back of the nest. the second bird had large white spots on the wings: a chaffinch probably.

6:19 a blue tit flew to the front of the nest.
all three here: the blue tit in the front, the pied flycatcher in the centre and the chaffinch in the back. or a blue tit and two flycatchers. all are enlarged to 130 % of their real sizes.
Image

6:19:19 all three flew away. it seemed that both the two first birds were pied flycatchers after all, no chaffinch (or there was a fourth bird? the light was not good).

two flycatchers returned. they seemed to have some disagreement.

6:24 the pied flycatcher back. she flew to the poop branch. another to the outer right branch. then she flew up to chase the first flycatcher away from the poop branch.

a blue tit in the basement. and around. :D
