Sep 22

good morning!
today is the Autumnal Equinox day. the exact time will be 22:21 this evening (19:21 UTC).

i haven't found the rustling sounds in the past few nights although there has been no wind and there has been no noise. - i wonder if there have been night frosts in Kurzemē in the past moonlight nights. :puzzled:

1:53 a tawny owl female called.

6:41 a pygmy owl called rather far.
6:44 again.
6:51 again.

either he didn't call often or i didn't look carefully enough for his calls. - maybe he was alone, without inspiring company? no female, no other male. :whistling:

7:04 the bird with the strange voice.
7:11 a roe deer barked. then a crow called.

the chat people seem to be 100%-certain that it's the crow who makes the strange calls. i'm not that convinced yet. so far the evidence is only circumstantial, in fact very thin. the strange bird and the crow have been present inside the same hectare during a certain time window (10 to 15 min). that is not at all certain enough.
