........
i saw one year how a gust of storm wind blew away the parent and then one of the chicks.
at the Estonian nest, Erik did a somersault. He could hold on with his beak. That looked very scary too.

I hope nothing will happen here. Enough has already happened to this nest  it will stay stormy for a few days

Mr C did some egg rolling yesterday, but I haven't seen Milda doing it. (I couldn't blame her, if that's her choice, but I also trust that she would roll an egg with a pip.)
it's very stormy. I think she only does what is absolutely necessary as long as it storms so badly

:hi: I thought about it too. But yesterday it wasn't stormy and there wasn't any egg rolling by Milda, at least not to my knowledge. And there was some questioning about pips.

13:39 - 13:45 feeding.
i think that the spot on the egg was something that dropped off Milda beak when she offered food to the baby.

Chips must have flown away from the top at some point.

So far I haven't seen any pip and I can't hear egg talk either. :D
and i think for beginning a new relationship, one eaglet is enough  (for me)

Liz01 :hi: That's how I feel about it too. But as long as there are eggs within the hatching timeframe in the nest there will be pip alerts, false or true, and that has nothing to do with our wishes. I hope that this, too, is understood by now. No wishful thinking involved. :D

With an egg as support for the eaglet feeding went much better.

15:29 Chips flew away over the swan pond and vanished in the forest.
he flew meandering from right to left and back, making many curves on his way.

the wind was too hard for making a superimposed picture of his route. the branches and the tree were singing too much.

15:33 Milda flew out.
Image

she fluttered like a butterfly above the meadow. in the end she flew to the right.

Chips took the vole. he tried to feed the baby, but it's not easy to hit the tiny beak with a tiny morsel of food, especially in this wind.
Image

it looks even a bit dangerous. :slap:

....
15.33 beautiful fly off by Milda, she let herself carry with the wind (a video-clip worth :whistling: )
(i'm sorry i can't do videos...., ame ? Liz ? )

15.37.24 little one was so concentrated looking at whom Chips was calling,
it tumbled and fell on its back, the tiny pink feet in the air - baby sat up right away again

feeding continues. Chips is doing fine.
i don't know how young is young for Janis, but Chips is not too young to do all daddy- things. ... except that we don't know about the Daddy-thing yet. we'll see next spring. :whistling:

15:46 feeding over. Chips covered the baby and the eggs.
here's the video. sorry that it took so long.
