8:33 a blackbird flew to a branch behind the kingfisher and began to sing...
8:41 a blue tit came to collect feathers. the blackbird is still singing...
the blue tit took a huge bunch of feathers, almost her own size. i wonder how she can see where she is flying with that lot.
the light was very bad.

8:44 the blackbird came up.

10:19 an eagle sneaked in while i looked the other way. the eagle flew high in the top left corner.
Latvian ring. i can't see the code but the colours are Latvian.
Image

the tail looks white. only tips of some feathers have dark spots.

10:26:53 something crashed on the top. before that the eagle looked in the sky for a while.

then another eagle dropped on the nest and the first eagle kicked him out.
Image

the second eagle had a ring, too. the ring doesn't look so clear in the still picture, but to me the colours looked Latvian on this ring, too.

she has an admirer.

the other eagle didn't leave. he climbed up the outer left branch. i think he has a ring, too.

- i have no idea who is a male and who a female but i guess that the eagle on the nest is a female.

11:44 the second eagle jumped to the top branch. he clearly has a ring which is much wider than his ankle. it's a male.
this one-size-fits-all eagle ring is made for females. the ring is big enough for girls. for boys it's too big. :whistling:

he jumped to the poop branch.

then down to the nest. the female (the first eagle) pushed him out in a short and silent "fight".

it was not a real fight. they are clearly a dating couple and she is playing hard-to-get. :whistling:
