that looks like a bluetit, like the tit in the picture above here: viewtopic.php?p=276204#p276204

and the great tit in the upmost picture is a male i think. he has such a large black cravate (necktie). 8-)

i like these picture of hidden birds.
trying to see where the bird is like mushroom picking: mushrooms are hiding quietly under dead brown and yellow leaves on the ground and light is filtered on them through leaves which are still in the trees. finding the mushrooms there is not easy.

Lot of wind right now. Tree and nest moving in the wind. May be the WTEs knew this and made the decision not to occupy it.
Thanks for the pics. I agree with Ame, fun to find the birds.

i haven't checked this camera for many days now, because it seemed to be off every time i looked. but today it is working. i saw no-one. it's raining and it is terribly windy, just the kind of weather which makes one sea-sick if one watches this too long... Image

i think i heard blackbird's warning calls, some tit's calls (great tit?), then bullfinches were whistling at about 1min50sec from beginning, someone scratching (?), ..., a jay maybe, then tits and a blackbird. very quiet now compared to yesterday so no seasickness today. :D

and flying mute swans.

but now the camera is off... :faint:
