you are so lucky! my picture tends to freeze today (like most days) every time something happens there. and even if there isn't anything the sound is missing at least half of the time.

ame, what I wanted to say is, that it could be a problem of your hardware. Maybe one cable isn't plugged well?

i really don't know..? lispet is having similar problems i think.
during the Olympic games there was overloading of the transmission network in Finland at times (my operator confirmed that), but it hasn't quite recovered.
and i don't have any cables. the stream comes in from 'air': i have wireless connection. i can't imagine what it can be if the camera works fine with no breaks for you and freezes for me.
Janis Kuze wrote that they had some difficulties in the transmitting end in the beginning and that they were able to make some improvement, but it is still not perfect in the sending end.

then some snapping sounds from the forest...
and he came back with a stick. "near-sticks" is in fashion.

12.57 some eagle's calls. it was not a long call (and it sounded like Mrs E, but i'm not absolutely certain of it).

? someone flew by the nest and then the male was in there, calling and looking a bit upset..?
13:00 the female called outside the nest but quite near.
then she called from a larger distance and the male replied.. and took off at 13:02.
now both are calling together rather far.
hmh? what was that? an intruder?
i heard a raven raven's voice and a crow's.
edit: in this Pontu clip there is a flash of something dark in the upper left corner. then it takes a while before the male comes to the nest. then both Mrs and Mr call at something in irritated voices. in the end the female calls from somewhere further out from the forest and the male replies to her and leaves.
in retrospect (i.e. after seeing the young eagle in the nest) it seems likely that the youngster visited the nest already in the afternoon and was un-welcomed by Mr and Mrs E.

i found two interesting Pontu pictures from the morning. the first picture at 6:51 shows that someone had probably been at the nest and brought new material there: there is something which is not covered with snow as everything else is.
a lucky shot at 11:52: Mrs E in the nest and Mr E just coming home.
i think that swans were taking off from the lake when i nearly gottired of them calling so loud. it has been quiet since then. the soft rustling near the camera started again...
