at 6:16 the eaglets were standing on the right side of the nest... and to me it sounded like a motor boat were making noise at the lake... but i'm not sure if i just imagined it...
edit: no the motorboat sound wasn't here yet! sorry!
edit 2nd time: i think that the motorboat sound was here after all. i'm getting confused with these clips...

Makonite called a little, took a piece of bark or something like that, carried it to the left branch, put it down, looked at the left branch for a while and then (6:18) she jumped high up and made a scream in her effort. she was aiming to get onto the left branch but made a mistake and jumped only up when she should have jumped a little forward, too.
- in disappointment she made some vigorous wing exercises instead.

i guess that this July is holiday season so many people will be there fishing and having a good time. but i don't quite understand how these people could wake up by 6 am this morning, after watching the soccer final last night...

i have now the Pontu clip of the first true branching this season. this is the clip where i hear the motor boat sound for the first time today, at 6:30 (!) (or was i the noise here or in the previous cip after all; i'm getting confused...)

kids were awake, standing in the nest and talked a little (maybe comments on the human fishers?). the Makonite did it: she walked to the left branch, looked at it for a few seconds and up she went!
she stayed on the branch for almost a minute and then landed on the nest quite gracefully.

9:14 Lubana brought a fish which wasn't small t all. Pukite won the competition over this again and left Makonite whining and screaming behind her back. Lubana stayed only few seconds before leaving.


Pukite went on eating and Makonite seemed to be a bit overwhelmed by the loss of her dominance. finally, when Pukite lost her caution for a while, Makonite stole the fish from her!


it didn't take long before Pukite took the fish back! her days of her submissiveness seem to be over and she has gained confidence in herself. big sister will not bully her anymore!.

12:38 Lubana made a flash visit at the nest. this time i could not see anything in her claws, and more than this: neither did the eaglets. they became quite silent after she was gone, puzzled about this visit.
