i saw how the smaller got some pieces, too. - Liz, these birds follow eagle rules rules, not human rules nor moralities.

after feeding chicks had a round of wrestling.

finally i could go to loo and get to drink something...

Most birds (animals?) seem to have an age hierarchy - but WTEs do not practice cainism as LSEs, do they?

no, no cainish with the WTEs, not even much sibling rivalry. it's a phase which passes in two or three weeks. after that they'll of course compete of food but the pecking and wrestling stops. they'll just attack on the same piece of food and try to crab it.

i can't remember about the article about the buzzlings in the Eagle nest... did they get rings, too? i'll try to see if i can find it somewhere. - i just imagine the face of the guy who climbed up to that nest and found adopted chicks there.

unfortunately in the text there is no further explanation. there's on the figure caption. probably no-one knows what came of these buzzlings later. probably lunch for the eaglet(s).

Nope, WTEs do not practice cainism or siblicide as far as I know.

Those buzzards should thus be good friends with those eagles (if the parent buzzards survived ofcourse) - as cockoos are supposed to be ...
