Latvian WtE nest webcamera Juras-erglis 2016: Observations

the ravens keep coming to investigate the nest. they make a lot of loud noise, too.

11:01 one raven in sight but the other was near. i heard its voice.


besides feathers they have been interested in the stick on the nest, too.

11:55 the raven couple was back again.


the other (bigger, the male?) was really interested in the sticks and other materials on the nest.


a ball of moss as a gift for the Mrs?

Mrs Raven had a funny hair-do, like two horns.


the little devil. .. or Groucho Marx.

11:58 both flew away

13:49 two swans flew in loops over the meadow.


they almost made an 8 on their way.


i made a close-up clip of them, too.

14:25 the raven are back







14:27 they flew away

14:25 the ravens are back.
i think that the first was the male.


he moved the sticks around again.


then came Mrs Croucho.

this time the female looked a bit like as if she were wearing a Batman-mask.

14:27 they kissed and sang together on the top branch and then flew away.

the Raven are back again

Around 15:40 the raven-sweethearts are back.

first came the male i think.


5 s later the female.


the male fiddled with nest materials again.

this time they are staying long on the top branch, canoodling and singing.
Mrs Raven with her Batman-bonnet.

17:40 Both arrived

For a second, my heart stopped... They arrived together as if they were 1 eagle, same direction and same second of landing. I looked for a ring

Or... dark tail tips??

two eagles landed almost simultaneously in one crash.
Robert and Bride? or is this the young couple? they seem to get along too well to be Robert and Bride..?

the other got up to the branch. it had a lot of black on sides of the tail. and the other doesn't limp..?


the one from the nest to the right branch ... and back.

yes, this must be the young couple. they are back.
