10:18 two eagles called in the forest and a crow near the nest. also a wood pigeon was coo'ing.

Abigyl, i shouldn't dare say much anything certain about emotional status of an eagle (although i sometimes say some things). about physical i guess that an injured eagle would not cry. injured animals usually stay quiet. they are in a vulnerable state then and crying might arouse interest of predators. for example sick cats are very quiet. only in the moment of injury they may cry. :puzzled:

Ame,

You are right, but that can go for any problem.

So why are they crying if it's dangerous to reveal to the rest that they are in a problem?

10:22 some geese flew by calling loud.

10:56 eagle called nearby.

Abigyl, i don't believe they are in any problems. they might be just talking, either to each other or to their "friends" ravens and/or crows. :D

12:09 eagle's calls.

12:10 a white-tailed eagle in. it called. the voice sounded like a female's voice? :puzzled:

it looks like the eagle who landed did not call. either they both landed at the same time or the female was on the top already.
the eagle on the nest is looking up. the other (female) must be above the nest.

oo-jee, that is also possible. :D
the sounds of wings coming were loud flap-flap-flap like her wings have made. a little after the eagle had landed on the nest i also hear a splashing sound. i wonder what that might have been. :whistling:

12:28 both flew away, the male from the nest and the female from the top. so she was on the top.
the male shook his feather suddenly before they left. he seemed to be a bit agitated about ravens who were calling near. (now i am speculating about the emotional status of the male. :slap:  )

14:04 a strange animal voice called from very far.
a wolf?? :puzzled:

about 14:55
crane voices are so loud that they must be out in the meadow in front of the camera.
i think they flew here at about 14:51 but i can't see them anywhere.
this video is made of 4 parts.

Today wasn't a good day... They stayed on nest very little and there was no morning mating.

Let's see what tomorrow will bring us :puzzled:

good morning!

this is the female's visit. she called a little before landing.

i can't see who it is. the sun is shining so bright next to it. 8-)
i'll download the video to see... or i recorded them from the screen. it was simplest now.
it had a white tail with some black spots so it was the male (probably; it didn't say anything).

wonder why they came separately... is there a wrinkle in their love? (ryppy rakkaudessa in Finnish)

In the last days, she is more interested in digging the nest and moving small sticks in the center.
Before, it was only the male who was "working".
