8:31 Raimis brought a big stick. he worked hard and during that he pushed another stick on the front left corner of the nest.
Image

the stick slipped down but stayed hanging on the rim. Raimis didn't seem to notice this.
Image

he continued working with the stick which had just brought....
then Raimis jumped to the right branch and began to gnaw it.
Milda flew out.

8:46 Milda brought a green spruce twig.
i don't know how to describe the look on the face of Raimis.
Image

mega2 has made another nice portrait of Raimis here in the corner.
https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... 29#p234329
one must remember that the camera picture is most distorted in the corners. both horizontal and vertical lines become curved because of the camera optics. that perhaps makes Raimis look so mysterious. 8-)
an example of the fish-eye lens picture:

8:47 Raimis flew out.

9:07 Raimis brought a stick. i have marked here the stick which was hanging on the left front corner, half-way dropping out.
Image

Milda went to the top branch. the hanging stick had dropped so low that it was almost completely out of sight.
Image

Raimis started to work with his new stick. it was V-shaped and the drooping stick was stuck in the fork of the new stick. Raimis managed to pull the drooping stick up a little without really seeing it. he seemed to be interested only in peeling his new stick.

then followed a thriller: when would the stick which was hanging on the front left corner eventually drop? Raimis pushed it several times and the stick slipped down and then Raimis pulled it back indirectly; he didn't do anything to save the stick.
Image

then the stick dropped: klong-klong-klong. it was a nice big stick but down it went. Raimis didn't seem to pay any attention to the rattle.
