i have now finished making some videos from this morning.
Liz already described what happened so i'll make only short descriptions.
7:08 Raimis sang when there was only little light.
7:25 - :26 a pygmy owl called twice.
7:28 he called again. then an animal cried short. i think it was a boar.
7:35 again a short cry. a piggy again i think.

8:31 Raimis brought a big stick. he worked hard and during that he pushed another stick on the front left corner of the nest.
the stick slipped down but stayed hanging on the rim. Raimis didn't seem to notice this.
he continued working with the stick which had just brought....
then Raimis jumped to the right branch and began to gnaw it.
Milda flew out.

8:46 Milda brought a green spruce twig.
i don't know how to describe the look on the face of Raimis.
mega2 has made another nice portrait of Raimis here in the corner.
https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... 29#p234329
one must remember that the camera picture is most distorted in the corners. both horizontal and vertical lines become curved because of the camera optics. that perhaps makes Raimis look so mysterious.
an example of the fish-eye lens picture:

8:47 Raimis flew out.

9:01 Milda brought a stick.
9:02 (nearly 03) she called: a raven flew to the top of the spruce on the right. the raven began to sing to Milda. Milda didn't seem to enjoy the serenade.

9:07 Raimis brought a stick. i have marked here the stick which was hanging on the left front corner, half-way dropping out.
Milda went to the top branch. the hanging stick had dropped so low that it was almost completely out of sight.
Raimis started to work with his new stick. it was V-shaped and the drooping stick was stuck in the fork of the new stick. Raimis managed to pull the drooping stick up a little without really seeing it. he seemed to be interested only in peeling his new stick.
then followed a thriller: when would the stick which was hanging on the front left corner eventually drop? Raimis pushed it several times and the stick slipped down and then Raimis pulled it back indirectly; he didn't do anything to save the stick.
then the stick dropped: klong-klong-klong. it was a nice big stick but down it went. Raimis didn't seem to pay any attention to the rattle.

Crissy, you're welcome
I saw your videos a few days ago. I mean, I saw that you did one. thanks a lot for it! Unfortunately, I have no time to look at it. Maybe later. I'm very busy right now.
ame, thanks for the videos and the great description. I love your descriptions. I forgot the falling branch.
