Thank you for the reports, Liz and Ame!
You both deserve a good breakfast after all the work!

Our construction workers are busy at it, despite the weather.
It is good to see that they are very serious about building the nest.

8:20 Milda flew away.

- this morning she seemed to have to light feathers on her right wing. :slap:
those were not visible yesterday. maybe her feathers were moist yesterday and today dry? anyway the eagle on the top branch looked like a male (ankles and beak).

ame wrote: October 13th, 2019, 5:17 pm yes, the colours of the trees are great! the tree in the lower left may be an aspen.
the oaks are in different phases. the left oak of the "Two sisters" (in the centre, left of the exploded Parents' oak) is still quite green but the oak on the right is turning yellow. the Observation Oak is even more yellow.
(i drew ellipses around these trees)

the forest looked much more yellow this morning than yesterday.

the change to more yellow seems to take place in just hours.

I had the impression that Milda also counted the branches.
She looked down between the branches. Maybe she thought that some had to be dropped. At least she looked a bit surprised, because the nest bottom is still full of holes

thank you for the videos and reporting :2thumbsup:
