Thanks for messages!
I think I've heard eagle voices since 18:30 but I'm not sure because I listened without headphones.
18:35
18:39
18:40
19:56?
thank you Sonchik! :2thumbsup:
yesterday i had a break in the recording at 18:27 - 18:50. :faint:
19:56 i could not find anything. :puzzled:

6:28?
6:52
8:15 fish song
At 8:20 a birdie on the left branch.
6:01 was an eaglet, i don't know which.
6:28 was perhaps not an eaglet but a jay?

6:52 were voices from old McDonald's farm: a dog and a cock. a blue tit called near ans an eaglet, too. :D

so i did hear an eaglet when the little birds visited the nest. i was not sure. :D
i made a clip starting at 8:15. i added the beginning of the fish song here:
https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 93#p689493
then the little birds examined the nest for about 10 min.

there was a flock of crows who flew by and talked to each other.

at this time of the year crow families gather together and form large flocks which roam around the countryside.

Interesting. Do you happen to know why they do that Ame?
By this time, they too have probably finished raising chicks.

yes, crow chicks have already flown for at least a month. many other birds also behave like this: families gather into larger and larger flocks. some migrate in these larger groups. crows don't actually migrate, at least not all. i suppose that the flocks are a "school" for the young birds.

in many species (not only birds) a large flock also offers safety to its members better than a smaller group.

Sonchik found more sounds and voices.
14:15 an eagelt.
14:19 a gunshot (!)
14:24 an eaglet.
14:48 an eaglet, again/still far. it was also very windy.

14:24:08 an eaglet called. the voice was unclear, i can't say which this was.
14:48:22 again. this was probably Miks (so probably also the previous was Miks as well).

11:02 a spotted flycatcher was hunting above the nest. the bird was after some flying insect. i guess that it was a wasp (because there was the wasp nest in the tree last year and i suppose that the tree is a good place for a wasp nest again this summer :whistling: )
Image

mega2 has made some nice pictures of the bird itself:
https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... 5a#p231106

i made a slow-motion close-up clip of the hunt (in 1/5 of normal speed).

this is the full-picture normal speed video:
