I think the parent with the fish flew from right to left at 15:07:01. After a while, parents 'voices were heard (at 16:20 and once again before, 16:14?). And 16:50, 16:51.

hello!
i saw that the morning and day were very rainy. now it seems that the tree is dry so it has not rained for some time.

thank you Liz and all for the observations!
thank you Sonchik for spotting Miks after he took off. the departure from the nest tree was on my original video. after the departure he must have made at least two circles around the nest tree gaining altitude. he was actually seen twice in the picture before he seemed to fly to the left. he possibly took direction to the Fish Market.


i made a new full-length video of his stay (for Abigyl; she has a soft spot for Miks. )

Sonchik reported later this evening that she had heard eagle's voice in the morning.

i made a clip with both calls.
6:30 an eaglet called.
6:48 the parents sang. i think i can hear both voices.


today mega2 has seen the eagles a few times during the day. i'll make videos later.
8:33 this eaglet sounded like Rika. - oh dear, i had quite a wrong video here first. sorry!
now it should be right.

11:02 - 3 an eagle flew by.
11:10 another sighting of an eagle, despite of the ugly weather.
oh dear, now i saw the video. the weather was not only ugly, it was a terrible storm!
it was the same eagle who fle to the spruce and landed there, about 1/3 of height below the top. the eaglet cried there for a while. it was Rika. then became terrible gusts of wind but the eaglet stayed in the tree. sometimes it vanished behind twigs and cone, but sometimes the tail could be seen seen well.
11:10 Rika started crying again and flew to the left over the meadow.


mega2 was not certain if it was the same eaglet at 11:02 and 11:10 but i am pretty certain that it was.

Biruta Lapa in YT chat heard some eaglet's voices and also i heard some.
18:37 an eaglet called.
18:39 again.


18:58 again. i can't guess which eaglet(s) this/these were. the wind was too loud.


19:16 a lot of eaglet's cries. it sounded like Miks, and it sounded as he flew by rather close, but i could not see him. then he flew farther.
the calls went on and on until drowned in wind.

7:22 a grey headed woodpecker (Picus canus) visit. It was a male.

7:55:31 a Sparrowhawk landed on the left branch


7:55:42 another bird came too and the sparrowhawk or something like that flew off
7:55:51 two jays to the nest tree (so the second bird was a jay ?) one landed a branch
7:55:59 two jays on the nest tree and the sparrowhawk arrived too
I think the sparrowhawk chased the two jay jays. It looks like that.

Raimis came home for to make measurements for the construction of the nest.
he did the same last year.

6:16, 6:19 and 6:22 the pygmy owl. terrible wind!

i cannot say which one this was. the wind was too loud.
i don't think that it's possible to find other voices either, at least not easily.

7:05 Raimis came in.
he looked at the nest-base. then he jumped down and looked around and listened.
i'm not sure if the voice belonged to an eaglet, maybe not both which Liz heard. it could have been a grey-headed woodpecker or a jay? i don't know...?
if an eaglet had seen Raimis (a parent) at home they would have flown screaming in, wouldn't they?
