Good morning to everyone!
8:33

8:51

This tower used to be visible constantly until the camera changed position. She's not gonna help us find the nest.
If someone wants to find the nest, he'll find it.
Maybe people with a drone just found a nest and don't know about the camera. It happens.

A drone flew over the nest in SWFL.
...
I don't understand what that is? :puzzled:

good morning!
thank you for the reports, Liz!

i don't believe either that the tele tower is much help in locating the nest. nowadays those towers are everywhere. some other details are more helpful (like the sound of you-know-what)

it has rained so much that the meadow is flooded. there are a lot of puddles which reflect light. - aha now i saw (after two big mugs of coffee) that Liz wrote about this, too.
Image

i made a clip with these lights in the meadow before the eagles came.

8:31 Raimis arrived. he landed on both feet and his beak seemed to be empty, too.
Image

Milda landed soon after him. it's more difficult to see but i agree with Liz: she didn't bring anything.
Image

both looked around for a while...
8:38 Raimis jumped to the right branch. Milda went to the top branch. Raimis gnawed the stick. then it began to rain hard for a while.
8:39 Milda flew out.

8:51 Milda brought a green spruce twig which was half-bald.
she looked around and listened to little birds who were talking around... there were a lot of crossbills' voices.
8:54 she flew out to the right, the same direction as Raimis.

Sonchik, ame is right. It is the Southwest Florida Eagle nest. M15 and Harriet. It happened a few days ago.

Video by Lady Hawk.
Her Description:
A drone is seen flying around the nest tree this afternoon and hovering while M15 was in the nest incubating the eggs. M is very concerned about this intrusion in the air as he watches it flying by. Then it stops and hovers looking right into the nest before flying off.

It is illegal to fly a drone near an eagle nest and the USFWS prohibits this type of activity. It can lead to the nest being disturbed and possibly nest abandonment. .....

ame, thank you very much for the videos and description :2thumbsup:

good morning!
are the eagles taking a day off?

the clouds look like there's rain on the way, but the weather forecast promises sunshine for the afternoon and moonlight for the evening.
