Ame - Liz or others

Do you know if there are people from the Lat forum who live or know well this area ?

I calculated again and tried to understand what is wrong .

I came to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with education or diet, since last year they behaved like this when the kids were very young.

If we go back, about 2 weeks, we didn't see a normal big fish on the nest:
- first we had white old fish; Ame said they were dead in the mud.
- later we had all kind of animals
- there were small pieces of fish or little ones.

We must remember that last year they were younger with 2-3 weeks at that time: end May-till mid June.

Even if we go back to 2015, Durbe didn't show herself for long time and we thought it's because of the ringing, while in other nests parents are coming back.

There is a problem in the ponds or hunters in the area during this time.

Hope you understand my calculation and the answer will be found somewhere.

MARIS is a DDF member who lives in the area not far from the nest site. he has often helped Janis when some maintenance work has been needed. i think he knows best what is going on there.

last year he had a hypothesis about the lack of fish. the weather was terribly hot then for weeks. MARIS thought that the fish probably moved to deeper cooler waters during that time. MARIS is a fisher himself and i guess that he knows the ways of local fish. i don't know if his idea was the correct explanation but it is about the best guess that has been proposed.

i suppose that MARIS know best other local circumstances as well. for example about the gunshots i've thinking that i shouldn't be surprised at all if MARIS knew who the shooters are... :whistling:

do you think that a local person could help our eagles in some way?
i'm not sure if that would be possible... :puzzled:

23:00 They lie side by side in a way that one can see the big difference in their size; Mike looks so small next to giant Rika.
This situation is so sad, after we already saw both, growing normally.

Mike looked very tired and weak, he didn't have the same mood he had last night.

Ame, thanks for your answer, I'll write tomorrow.

GOOD NIGHT ! :2thumbsup:

June 21

Good Morning all :2thumbsup:

Thank you for reporting :2thumbsup:

So there was again very less food. I hope for today

5:12 Both are awake
6:21 poor Mika is very tired. I hope he will get food soon. But Rika is hungry too. And Raimis is not able to bring enough food
6:33 I think Mika is not feeling well.

I will not continue watching. I still have enough of yesterday. The goshawk attack on the Estonian black stork nest was already more than I can endure.I miss the little storklet

Good Morning !

Yes, Mike wasn't well last evening.

He needs a real miracle and a good feeding, he is not strong enough to protect the food even he he takes it. :slap:
