Autumn is on its way... Let's hope that it'll be quiet and our royal couple will come back and start another season on the nest.

It's an important msg for me... I'm turning "older", from 4 to 5 digits :rotf:

September 23

good morning everyone! :hi:

ame, thanks for reporting and videos :2thumbsup:

7:03:10 the camera awakened.
7:05 something hits the microphone? At first I thought an animal would show itself. But it seems it is a branch?

7:06 swans are singing

7:27:00 strange noise near the nest.. or from the nest "drrrrrr, drrrrrr, drrrrrr" :puzzled:
7:28 still the noise and cranes are singing
7:30:51 is it a jay :puzzled:

The fire in America brings us spectacular sunrises. It is the same here with me. There are a lot of smoke particles in the air.

good morning!
thank you Liz!
we have had some sunsets with great red colours in Finland, too. the fires are awfully wide-spread on the other side of the Atlantic. :slap:
i have been worried about Alice44 in Oregon...

7:04 rustling under the nest. this sounded like stick knocking against each other.
7:06 more rustling. swans were singing very far.

these rustling sounds went on every now and then. i think it was made by sticks, no animal.

the sounds at 7:27 sounded like they were made by some animal rather than by wind rubbing branches against each other and making them squeak. could it be a bush cricket?
edit: on second listening the voice seemed to come from a little longer distance, from under the nest maybe from the nest tree or some other tree nearby.
7:28 i heard swans singing but no cranes. :puzzled:
7:30 a few more buzzing voices.
the Sun was rising above the trees at the same time. :innocent:

it came to my mind that it could be a mistle thrush (Turdus viscivorus). they have similar buzzing voices.
for comparison:

8:02 "artificial" rustling (not by any animal?)

it's a beautiful sunny day with moredate wind. i haven't seen or heard anyone special during the short times that i have been able to look at the camera.

thank you Sonchik!

10:11 the rustling sounded very much the same as in the early morning. the wind must be suitable for knocking these sticks today.

10:31 the bird was a blue tit. he flew to the tip of the big stick which has been hanging on the front edge of the nest in vertical position for a long time. the tit was so near to the camera that he looked BIG.
then he flew to the nest and looked normal size again.
- i have been waiting to see that big stick drop.
Image

10:46 after the blue tit's visit a great tit called very near.

10:55 and 11:01 the same knocking as earlier.

my stream is normal!

I was at the Ribnitz port this morning. I heard a screaming eaglet. It was amazing! I stopped and wondered where he could be. Hidden in a boat? He screamed again and it sounded further away. Then I heard an adult eagle calling. It sounded like "find your fish alone"
I was totally amazed. Where were they? On the other side of the Bodden - too far away and I would not swim in the Bodden, even if I could do it. (it's Brackish water- good for fish) But I wanted see them!
I continued my bike ride and found huge herds of lapwing in the fields. I have never seen so many of them in one place in my life. The fields were black from them. What a great day!

wow Liz!
did you look in the sky? they could have been high above you.
i sent a message about the stream to Mr B because Andra wrote in the chat that his stream was also buffering.
... but it seems that my connection is really terribly slow. it takes ages to upload videos. :bash:

ame, I didn't even think of that! The other side of the Bodden seemed the right place to me. It is forested. Next time I will look in the sky! They were probably above me. And I searched around me like crazy :rotf:
