Re: Estonian LSE (formerly BS) Webcam 2011.
Good morning Nice pictures from earlier, thanks. The skunk one is funny. Just now I think Remo delivered a vole, Tormi gobbled it up and tried to make contact with Dad. It is very wet in the nest. Remo left, Tormi jumped onto the big branch.

Is now on the left branch. I didn't see how she did that. First into the nest and then to the left?

Good morning everybody here
Around 10:10
Remo delivered a vole and Tormi came over from the left branch, swallowed it whole.
Then s/he climbed the big branch but flewhopped down again nearly immediatly and decided to hop on the left branch again
Wooaaahhhh .... what a bad moment taking my first look at the EMPTY nest this morning .... *sigh*

I was at the other cams for a little while. Good thing all of you were watching & got photos of Tormi getting another vole. S/he really leaps off that branch when Remo or Tulli brings a prey!
I will log off now for the night / day. Enjoy our growing-up Tormi today! Goodnight / Good Day, everyone. I am

Here's Remo bringing Tormi the Vole:
Video: Remo Brings Tormi a Vole
Dad is such a good provider! When he arrives with the vole, Tormi snatches it and mantles it. Typical eagle behavior to protect one's food.
Recorded at 10:11 AM local time
1st egg: 4/27
2nd egg: 5/1
1st hatch: 6/10
2nd egg did not hatch

I still think it was rather the second egg that hatched after 39 days than the first one after 45.

Tormi seems to like the left branch - maybe he will be soon ready for the first flight!Lussi05 wrote:14:21 -

Tormi heard right Tuuli arrived and brought a frog! (Tormi jumped from the branch and was "chirping" already before Tuuli was there)

Wow! In 1 jump/fly from right side of the nest high in the large branch in the back. That was beautiful! (and of course I mean that Tormi did that)
