It looks like an eagle convention/conference going on! Look at all of them!

It was this one, I was to late for a photo from closer
or it was imagination

At first, it looked like the eagle was biting its toe for some reason; but no, it was actually pulling a long piece of meat off the frozen bundle of food.

The meat block seems to not be frozen so hard this morning. The eagle is getting some good sized chunks of it to eat.

I did not really expect any eagles yet, and already there are so many.

When I see the snow on the rings, it just seems that they must be very cold.

Wow a raven just pulled a large chunk of meat out from the eagles nose -- but then the raven dropped it.

Darn! I missed it, I was at another page for a few minutes. I'll bet the eagle was surprised!alice44 wrote:Wow a raven just pulled a large chunk of meat out from the eagles nose -- but then the raven dropped it.

They are really getting some nice big bites today. The meat is softer.

Are the eagles making little squeaky noises as part of their fighting?

I hoped maybe there would be a bit of video -- I think another eagle had distracted the one on the food.Kitty KCMO wrote: Darn! I missed it, I was at another page for a few minutes. I'll bet the eagle was surprised!

Bye, Fleur, have a great day!
Alice, they do make finny squeaky noises when the fight. It sounds funny to hear those little squeals coming from such big, fierce birds.
More video-- The adult who is eating will not share! Even the other adults are cautious, & the younger ones just stand back till they can get a turn when the one in charge is done.

Have a good day Fleur
At first I thought the sound was coming from somewhere off stage -- then I realized, after an eagle leaps there is that little sound every time.
