Re: Eagles Winter Feeding Ground 2012
I missed the Golden Eagle again - good that you all made pictures!
And wow, the food was gone fast! It was such a big block in the morning, when I looked in, and in the evening it was all gone!
Seeing so many eagles without rings - does that maybe mean, that there are either eagles coming from areas where they are not ringed (for whatever reasons) or, what would be even better, from nests not known to those people who ring them generally?
Good work Ame, to record all of them in a table! Thanks for it!
And thanks to the never tiring zoomers, Mutikluti and her helpers! It is so nice to be able to see them so close!

I had the cam on (I like the rushing wind in the trees) and then a plane was flying along.

Me too Pitti,I like the sombre evening sight. I can still see the sky through the trees and a few stars twinkling.

I was getting ready to turn off the computer as I am very sleepy tonight & will not stay up to watch cams tongiht. But I checked the Nova cam (& also the Kasmu cam) & it is so lovely, with little birds singing sweetly (swans at Kasmu), & a beautiful sky (both places). so I took a couple of photos & a video or two. I will post those at both sites, then log off for bed. I h can see it will be a wonderful time for everyone at the cams today-- it is so beautiful. Goodnight / Good day, everyone!

This time we can see it looks like an animal carcass, not just a frozen block of meat.

Fleur, I think in American English we say -- throws a pellet -- the noun is definitely correct, but I am not sure about the verb (I have been speaking mostly American English for over 50 years and I still do not know).Fleur wrote:Eagle shows a pellet ( if that's the right word )
You are good at pellet spotting, you caught a raven in the act too?

We cannot see it's tail very well. It needs to come down to eat.Fleur wrote: now you say it.
