some moments from this morning:
It took some effort to cut of the film, there were many moments of struggles in the recording, ( sorry Alice )
I had record one hour and a half

12:00: Macho with prey / vole

....Macho leaves, Metra back. She takes the vole but put them down again....

Great pictures and videos today. It's nice to see Macho with the chick, although he could have delivered breakfast a little sooner..He has, after all, been a morning morning bird so far  The video where Metra covers the chick with greenery is so sweet :loveshower:
Metra has covered her little chick all afternoon, but luckily I got a glimpse in the end. I have not seen any feeding, so far.
19:50 - 19:51 Evening care:

Fleur your video got more than I saw. When I was watching it would freeze than then when it unfroze I could see something had moved.

In the video it is clear Metra picked up the vole delivered while she was out and moved it about.

Lussi and Alice:
I almost dare not to say, but I'm glad I'm not the only who has problems with the stream.
I felt almost guilty about the bad image.

I am glad that Macho has shown that he shows concern for the little one

I have been trying not to think about it. I have been wondering if they will come rescue one for Germany (I think they/Latvia sent some to Germany last year), or that this would just be the lucky nest.

I have no idea, but taking away the second egg would be a good "solution" ..... don`t know if this is practicable ...

In Latvia they really do it and save the chicks. But I haven't seen the second chick yet, only the egg.
