15:17/18 - Madis delivers a pretty large fish, a common roach I think. Piret starts to eat herself. The chicks don't seem to be hungry, except for Nori who moves in after a minute.

15:33 - Nori is satisfied and waddles away. Piret flies off (just visible in the top right corner).
Image

15:35 - Piret returns with a new branch while the chicks make happy chirping sounds.

15:44 - Uno trains his wingflapping, knocking Piret on the head in the process. A beautiful sight.

It's almost unbelievable this is the very same Uno as the wee one on this picture:

Question: Is it just me, or has the cam zoomed in a bit more?
Looks like the sides of the nest have disappeared almost..

17.50

If the camera has slightly changed position I don't know. Piret has brought a large branch to the nest which she placed at the left side in the back. Maybe that gives a different view? When comparing earlier pictures I see no changes other then that.

Kukelke wrote:15:04 - Piret jumps to the nest and watches the sky. Looking for Madis with food? Shortly after she re-arranges some twigs while the chicks chirp a bit.

15:11 - Piret almost twists her neck to see what is happening above her and the chicks.

15:12 - Madis lands on the nest. The whole family is looking up. Definately something up there which attracts their attention. Shortly after Madis leaves and Piret laying down with her wings spread a bit.

15:15 - You could clearly hear the sound of some other large bird, possibly another species of bird of prey. Sounded a bit like the bird from a few days ago.
Behaviour of Madis and Piret on that picture did not show that there is a great danger. It seems they looked rather interested than worried. Would another osprey take alien osprey chicks as prey? From what I've read about goshawks after one attacking Stephi, I think this birds could be a serious danger even for an already flying osprey young. Which raptors living in Estonia exept goshawks would attack the chicks at this age?
