AME, I do not know, all those shadows, dates, and the height of the sun in degrees...
I think that, the camera is looking at a bit to the right now.
I wanted to find a picture of a camera (this was taken while standing on the sea ice in winter)
and story about this tiny island. I could not find it.If I remember correctly, the island has only one tree - or rather bush.
aita: thank you for the picture. it seems that now the camera is looking more or less at the same direction as in 2009. the above picture was taken in February so it's wintertime at 7.26 which is 8.26 in summertime which we have now.
they have changed to direction a bit from time to time but i guess that the place itself is probably the same (in a small islet there can't be many choices!). the general direction needs to be to the north, otherwise we'd be blinded by the Sun in the midday.

i remember seeing the picture of the camera taken from the sea ice. it was taken before the boar landed... maybe in February that year, was it in 2011? :puzzled:
it was in the forum pages.
i've also seen an old video about installing the camera for the first time there were some overall sceneries around the islet, but i can't remember where that was...

seals on the beach... nice! :shake:

darn, i have to turn off the camera. i've got some work that has to be done. :faint:

YAY! I saw my first seal, here. In the water, not outside, yet. And I love the gliding eagles. Hope so much, water will calm down a bit, so noisy.

Question @to the ones, that did today's seal pics: do they sleep on the beach during the night? Or do they come to the beach for breakfast?

I am still new here :puzzled:

:hi: This camera is off the night (and it would be too dark to see). The camera is on again about 6.25 AM every morning. So it´s difficult to say if they have been sleeping here. I read they can sleep under water too, but they need to come up to get air every now and then (I read they can be under water up to 20 minutes.)
