Re: What is Going On?

Hello macdoum! With arte I do have my problems, I never find what I look for, that's why I troubled my video recorder the old fashioned way. Unfortunately it can't be shared here. I have tried to find it once again, but did not succeed through the arte jungle ...

The Estland programs I saw yesterday, were interesting. Also not brandnew, from 2005 or 2006, but it had, I think except for the raccoon dogs, almost everyone important. Only with the eagle shown I would disagree ... they said it's a WTE, I would say no, it was not. Wonderful nature and it really makes one want to go and see!

Edit: I found the page, but it says the video is not available anymore. But there are two dates for repetition: Friday, Nov. 9 at 18:25 and Friday Nov. 16 at 13:25!
And - looking around that page, there are links to sites, where it is still available, like: http://www.tv-replay.de/redirection/02- ... 71923.html - even in German and French!

When you open the link I posted, on the right bottom, there is a - quite small - pull-down-menu, which gives the choice of German or French! I tried it yesterday evening and the French really started the French version! Otherwise I would have not dared to mention it!

Chimega, the Talvivaara mine in Finland is a catastrophe! It should be shut down immediately. It is every day on the news here.
In the beginning of the summer many birds died there.

OMG, Starling. I read that article. It's like a Chernobyl situation for those birds and the water - fish, etc. It needs to be shut down now and I saw another article where it is STILL leaking. All those birds that eat fish!!!

Bear farm industry in Laos.
In German language, 7:36 min.
I have rarely seen such terrible photos of bears being imprisoned.
One planet meets another. Planet 1 says to Planet 2, “Hey you look terrible”. Planet 2 says, “Yes I know. I have Homo Sapiens.” Planet 1 says, “Don’t worry. I had that too and it will soon disappear.

Some good news.
Would you believe it...the Botanists in Basle Botanical garden could hardly believe their eyes when that stinky plant Arum titan started to flower agaion since the beg. October.1st Nov. it was already 52cm high.Since last Friday it has grown 13-15cm daily
They are all flummoxed at this second flowering so soon after it flowered in April 2011.
Native of, it is its homeland Sumatra.
The cam is in place now. Sunday the flower was already 1m56 high.

Surprise,surprise and a rarity.
