someone seemed to walk towards the nest tree... this time on the right side of the tree where there is more light. he walked by.

who are these people? Renno or Urmas wouldn't make so much noise, shouting like that.

A dramatic day, with the sound of a horn and gun shots

15:34 - The afternoon sun creates a beautiful glow..the colors and light indicates cold weather?
Image
16:16 - Noise from cars... almost sounds like a race :puzzled:

i made a gif of today's pictures. is was beautiful and sunny in the day and the sky turned yellowish by the end of evening. i think it is cold there. in the morning there seemed to be frost on twigs which had sublimated from air (frozen from water vapour directly into ice) so last night probably was very cold, too.

JAN 19

there are men walking in the forest and talking loud... and they shouted and they are blowing in a horn! what can this mean??
the shouting and horn-blowing begins here about 2 min from the start. be careful: it's loud. (i had a headset on... )

i had posted wrong video first...

Based on voices they were hunters. Few words was heard and they were following wild boar tracks. Then dogs found some animal and start barking... Hunting is allowed there from 1st November to 28th of February. I don´t know why there were so many mens. Battue (active animal driven out) is not allowed there and this wasn´t it I think. Most probably they was hunting using dogs.

 Thank you, Ame, for all your care in documenting what goes on at this new nest. And what interesting sounds of the hunters in your videos. When I heard the sounds in the first one, I thought it must be hunting, or perhaps trying to find someone who was lost by blowing the horn to call to them. I am glad Renno told us what it was. And it was encouraging to learn from him that signs have been seen of Linda & Sulev!

As we have members from all over the globe many of us have a problem with the different date formats.
For instance, is today 1-20-2013 or
2013 - 20 -1 or
20 -1 - 2013

The current webcams which werre produced in USA display the USA format, which confuses Europeans.
The European format confuses the North American members.

One way to overcome this is to write the name of the month, when we need to write a date in our posts.
So today is 20 January, 2013.
