a very loud BANG!! echoed round the forest at 14:16. :puzzled:
after the bang there was nothing special again. a wood pecker worked somewhere near-by for ages, several hours i think. in times it was quiet for a short time but then the tapping began again. i suppose this woodpecker has its pecking factory close to the nest.

there was new snow in the nest in the morning and in the afternoon it began to snow again rather hard for some time, but not all afternoon.

in this recording it is just a ghost in the beginning. the recording starts so slowly. :slap:
but there one can (hopefully) hear some of its voices.

at 12:13 a woodpecker (great spotted probably, Dendrocopos major) was somewhere quite near the nest and called a lot. then it flew further and called more.. but it didn't show itself.
at 15:58 i heard a nuthatch's voice near the nest but it didn't show itself either.
on the left woodpecker, on the right nuthatch.

i think i heard a pygmy owl whistling here in the late afternoon at 17:28. it was rather far so it is hard to hear. a dog was barking...

really??!
i only heard an airplane flying over very low (and loud!) at 9:58. then later a woodpecker was calling a lot near the nest at 11:36 - 11:44'ish. it sounded like a great spotted woodpecker (but how would i really know...)
- otherwise i think it was rather quiet, except a few gusps of wind which shook snow of the branches...

a fresh piece of greenery has been brought to the nest while the camera was off-line. :headroll:
Image

i checked Pontu pictures. Sulev had come by 9:17 and he stayed there til 9:22. he brought the pine twig and did some snow works.
here's the Pontu address for the first picture. you'll see the rest when you change the minute reading.
http://pontu.eenet.ee/saunja/2013-02-13 ... -09-17.jpg

EDIT: later i found that in Pontu-pictures 9:13 - 9:18 there is another big bird, probably Linda on the top of the big tree in the background in the centre of the picture. She came first and then Sulev landed on the nest via the branches on the right. they have risen when Sulen has arrived, as some snow has fallen off.

Both Sulev and Linda are at the nest. :loveshower: :loveshower:
this is how Linda came.
Image

Sulev is decorating and Linda is supervising.
it seemed that Sulev didn't like all the advise that Linda gave.
after they had pulled one twig back and forth it seemed that Sulev finally decided where it should go. then Linda kissed Sulev behind the ear.
